Dean of Students Department
The Dean of students’ office is handled one of the most important aspects of life in St. Leo’s College. This office is in charge of managing students’ welfare through activities such as counselling, career guidance and leadership mentoring.
The department is run by 3 teachers i.e. the overall Dean, another teacher in charge of careers and guidance section and the third teacher in charge of clubs.
Career talks are organized every term for students in the following order:
- 4 & S.6 in 1st term
- 1 & S.2 in 2nd term
- 3 & S.5 in 3rd term
We invite resourceful and influential people from within Uganda to give career talks. Students are also guided in choice of subjects at S.3 and combination choices at S.5.
Counseling sessions are organized in a one-to-one environment between the teacher and the student.
The department oversees the activities of the various clubs that exist in the school. The clubs include the debate, writers, patriotism, scouts, interact, peer educators and young achievers. These clubs have helped students to develop their talents, confidence in expression and public speech. Every student is encouraged to join at least one club.
